Matthew's 10

Today Matthew turned 10 years old. I can still remember the day he was born like yesterday. I went into labor shortly after midnight. I got up and watched TV for awhile, timing the contractions. After awhile, Greg got up (I hadn't woke him up). He got real nervous and started cleaning the apartment. Pretty soon, I said we have to go to the hospital NOW. So, I guess we got there around 5 am. They checked us in, then checked to see how dilated I was. The nurses eyes bugged out and she said I was at a 9. So, I was told there was no point in an epidural at this point and was sent to the labor room. I had back labor with Matthew, the only one of the three, and it was AWFUL. It took three hours of pushing, and I remember thinking I can't do this anymore, and finally he came at 10:05 am. He was the most beautiful baby ever.

For My Grandma

For My Grandmother and Godmother, who passed away June 15, 2010.

In The Sweet Light

Of the Valley,

When the sun falls

Upon The Pine,

I shall lay down

All my Troubles

And I lift up,

This Heart of Mine

Take Me Home, Lord

Oh Take Me Home.

O'er the hillside

And o'er the sea

To the soft grass of the valley

Where Your Grace

Shall set me free

Through the Shadow

of the darkness,

Through the storms that

Lead me astray

I shall travel

Forever Knowing

In Your Light

I will always stay.

Take me Home, Lord,

Oh Take Me Home.

O'er the hillside

And o'er the sea

To the soft grass of the valley

Where Your Grace

Shall set me Free

Let's Go Surfing, Again

In June, Brian was working in Houston, so we drove down to see him. Saturday, we went to Galveston for the afternoon. We had lots of fun surfing and playing in the water.

Sunday, we went to Space Center Houston. Then we had to take him to the airport and send him home to Colorado. :(

Let's Go Surfing

During Greg's school break in May, we drove down to Galveston. Greg has really been missing surfing, so we rented a couple boards. It was the boys first time, and they all managed to stand up. They loved it. It was extremely windy, so sorry about the noise on the video.

A Year in the Life of Frog and Toad

Tonight the PTA meeting included a performance by the 1st and 3rd graders, so Matthew and Justin got to sing together. They even stood next to each other, with Matthew right behind Justin. They sang songs about two best friends, Frog and Toad, and a year in their lives. I wish we had had better seats, but we were off to the side, still here are a few of the songs.

Meet Huckleberry

This is our new Beagle Huckleberry. We adopted him from a rescue a little over a week ago. He is super sweet and adores the boys.
